DAY 1: NAIROBI

Welcome to Kenya! On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi for check-in.

Make your own dinner arrangements and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2: NAIROBI - MASAI MARA

After breakfast, you will set off for the Masai Mara reserve, where you can admire the local flora and fauna. Lunch at the lodge, then set off on safari in the reserve in the afternoon.

DAY 3: DAY IN MASAI MARA

Spend an incredible day on safari in the Masai Mara reserve. You're sure to come across the Big Five, Kenya's iconic animals: the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and the African buffalo. You'll be amazed by the natural riches of this beautiful country.

Meals and overnight stay at the camp

DAY 4: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI - DIANI BEACH

After breakfast, you will drive to Nairobi to catch a train to Mombasa, before being transferred to your hotel at Diani beach. The rest of the day will be free.

Picnic lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 5 TO DAY 7: DIANI BEACH SEASIDE EXTENSION

During these 3 full days, relax in your hotel at Diani beach, take advantage of the available amenities, and explore the surrounding area.

DAY 8: DIANI BEACH - MOMBASA - NAIROBI - RETURN FLIGHT

After breakfast, you will depart your hotel by first-class train for Nairobi, before being transferred to the airport for your return flight.

Day of arrival and welcome: On disembarking the plane, you will pass through the immigration offices where your visa will be checked. You will then collect your luggage and on your way out a local representative from SawaSawa Africa will be waiting for you in uniform with a sign bearing your name.

Hotel only package: for people booking the "hotel only" package (without international flights), please provide us with your flight details as soon as possible via the contact form in the "Help and contact" section at the bottom of the page, so that we can organise your transfers. The flights you choose should arrive before midday on day 1 and leave after 6 p.m. on day 7 so that you can take full advantage of the tour.

Please note: as indicated, all accommodation is rated four-star according to local standards. The services provided may not be equivalent to French four-star standards.

The visit order may be changed for logistical reasons.

Visa: All travellers to Kenya must be in possession of an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) prior to entering the Republic of Kenya (including minors).

No traveller can enter Kenya without a visa or ETA (electronic travel authorisation).

The time taken to issue the ETA will be 3 days or 72 hours, although it may be shorter for nationals with prior exemption.

Visas previously issued through the E-visa platform will still be honoured.

East African nationals will be exempt from the ETA application.

Children under the age of 16, who were previously exempt from the visa requirement, will now have to apply for an ETA.

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.
Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.
Unless otherwise stated in the service description, activities and any additional services available at destination, are provided in the language of the destination country and in English.

Travel documents

Once your reservation has been made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail before your travel documents are sent.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.
You will be informed whether or not luggage is included at the time of your booking.
You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.
There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.
Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.
In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.

If you are travelling with minors, please ensure that you verify with the authorities of your country of residence whether you will need a consent form for the minors to exit the country. Please be sure to verify that your necessary Identification documents (passport and/or ID card dependent upon the country to which you will be travelling) have valid expiration dates, i.e. verify your ID documents have not yet expired.

Also, be sure to remember to bring these necessary documents with you. It is also recommended to make copies of all travel documents in the event of an emergency.
